Regarding bike/pedestrian access to the center of the town from the north side - this was one of the arguments for the access easement on lot 3 of the Quarry Hill Extension subdivision that is under construction. 		<description>I too am interested in bike trails in Medfield, and since I often think of bike paths and pedestrian sidewalks at the same time, I have been trying to get more sidewalks built as well, and have pushed to have a citizen committee examine the sidewalk issues.  The selectmen have finally created a committee to plan sidewalks in town, and I suggest that you sign up to join that committee.  We need a sidewalk connection from the north side of town to the downtown, and I often imagine a bike trail through the woods somewhere as a solution.

BTW, the last I knew, Bay Colony RR was still using the rail line to Needham, albeit rarely (something like six trains a month).  It was an issue for the Ice House Road access to The Center at Medfield and the Kingsbury Club, as to whether a full scale RR crossing would be required to be built by the Town of Medfield.  Our  town administrator, Mike Sullivan, could probably tell you the current status of that RR line for sure.

As to starting a separate 501(c)(3) corporation to push for bike paths, I suggest that you look into joining the Medfield Foundation as a separate fund to develop bike paths in Medfield (see www.MedfieldFoundation.org) so as to have all the benefits of being a 501(c)(3) without any of the headaches.

I like your radar gun information, but not the reality of the speeding on Green Street that it documents.
