I live on the Woodcliff side of the developments and think the trail system is terrific and the way developments should be done. In fact the trail easment is part of my property. Hoover Realty has done a great job in preserving this.
However, the current development plans for Quarry Road expansion has an emergency access road that connects the Erik road extension to Quarry road.  This has been proposed as a work around to the request by the town fire and police to ensure access to Woodcliff in case RT 109 is blocked during emergency.  
This is overkill and will significanly change the face of the great environment and landscape fo the trail system.  
Fight it if you can.  It is overkill.  
Rt 109 has been blocked 1-2 times in the last 50+ years.</description>
